Socceroost, a high school football team founded by a group of football enthusiasts. The name “Socceroost”, was particularly inspired by the Australia national football squad’s nickname – Socceroos. It was believed that Socceroost came out with her name after watching the superior spirit showed by the Australia national squad to qualify themselves to the World Cup Finals 2006. Ironically, the team progress had been calamitous, squandering the golden moment to lift the sole silverware within the region in a final and the only one big tournament. Albeit the team might had fail in winning any silverware, the team managed to secure the most precious prize that might never exist in any grand tournament – FRIENDSHIP. Socceroost had congregated 17 different backgrounds friends, together, playing the sport they love to do, and shall never be forgotten – LONG LIVE SOCCEROOST
